Product Description
The EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve is an emission control device found in many internal combustion engines. Its purpose is to reduce the formation of nitrogen oxides (NOx) by recirculating a portion of the engine's exhaust gas back into the intake manifold.
The EGR valve operates by opening and closing to control the flow of exhaust gas into the intake system. When the engine is operating under certain conditions, such as high load or high temperatures, the EGR valve opens to allow a measured amount of exhaust gas to enter the intake manifold. This dilutes the incoming air-fuel mixture, lowering the combustion temperature and reducing the formation of NOx emissions.
